The Carr Brothers take Russ n' Ross to town!

When comedy brothers Jimmy and Alan Carr heard about Russell Brand and Jonathan Ross changing their images so drastically, they quickly held a meeting with each other to discuss what was becoming of British comedy in 2009.

Looking at pictures of Russ n' Ross (see below) they decided that they too must update their images, or be left behind in the stand-up comedian compost of television, which is situated at the back of the Blue Peter garden. Jimmy and Alan went their separate ways so as not to influence each other.

Alan phoned Stella McCartney toute suite and she came rushing round to his tooth fairy flat armed with an artists A4 drawing pad and some felt-tip pens. After some tea, some chat and some TV and then some more tea, chat and TV, followed by cake, they got going and went hard at it all night.

The next morning Alan decided on his favorite 'look' - Ann Widdecombe's classic nineties Tory Battle-axe. It complimented his spectacles a treat. Stella went straight to Oxfam and bought the necessities. Alan was as pleased as punch and phoned Jimmy to tell him the glad tidings. He was now ready for anything that the 2009 comedy world would throw at him.

Jimmy, meanwhile, was not as clueless as Alan as regarding the fashion path he wanted to forge down. A massive Big Brother fanatic, it was easy for him. He chose to copy the look of his favorite aluminium-housed inmate: Kathreya Kasisopa, Thailand's answer to Su Pollard.

It only took Jimmy half an hour to perfect his new image as he had practiced the look many times before; in the privacy of his seedy hotel rooms on the long, long, lonely, boring nights on the road, entertaining Britain.

Jimmy went round to Alan's gaff and their publicity shots were taken by celebrity photographer Mario Testino. They both heaved a sigh of relief at not being caught out by the ever changing world of comedy fashions. The Carrs were in pole position! Well done guys!
